Flame Towers Baku Architectural Model

About the Flame Towers Baku Model

A Flame Towers Baku Model captures, at scale, the three towers that dominate the skyline of Azerbaijan’s capital. Baku’s landmark Flame Towers were designed by HOK and completed in 2012. The tallest reaches 182 metres, and the complex combines apartments, a Fairmont hotel and office space in a single striking composition on a hillside overlooking the Caspian Sea. You can find more about the Flame Towers on Wikipedia.

The towers take their name from the symbolic place of fire in the country’s culture and from their flame-like silhouette. MiniatureArt’s model captures the curved, flame-shaped façades of the three towers at scale. The way these curving surfaces relate to one another shows how the group changes character as it is viewed from different directions. Getting the relative heights of the three towers and the spaces between them right is what makes the silhouette so recognisable, and it also helps explain how the mixed-use complex works as a whole.

Curved façades call for precise workmanship in model making. In our workshop, forms like these are shaped from durable polyurethane and resin and then finished by hand painting. Lighting can be added on request to create a dramatic effect that recalls the towers after dark. A Flame Towers Baku Model makes a strong impression in property sales offices, hotel lobbies, international trade fairs and investor presentations.
