Fairy Tale Park Design and Construction
In fairy tale park construction and themed figure production, we design the story, the characters and the visitor areas together. To date, MiniatureArt has produced 5 fairy tale parks and more than 850 figures. For municipalities, park operators and family entertainment venues, we plan the concept, sculpture production and installation scope specifically for each project.
Fairy tale park construction: figures, materials and production methods
- Character design and shaping: Fairy tale heroes, local legends and original mascots are created through 3D modelling, 7-axis robotic milling and handcraftsmanship. You can see examples in our gallery of character sculptures and figures.
- Materials and supporting structure: Production components such as a polyurethane core, a composite surface and a steel supporting frame are evaluated according to the figure’s size, location and conditions of use.
- Outdoor surface treatments: Coatings and paints are selected with sun, rain and temperature changes in mind. Cleaning and maintenance needs for long-term use are also addressed within the project scope.
- Movement, sound and lighting: Depending on the project, sensors, storytelling, moving characters and scene lighting can be planned.
- Themed spaces: Fairy tale houses, castles, seating areas and photo spots are designed together with the characters and the park’s story.
How is a fairy tale park project planned?
First, the size of the site, the target visitor group and the story to be told are defined. The placement of the characters, walking routes, scenes and photo spots are planned within this whole. Then the scope of figure production, themed structures, transport and installation is finalized.
For the first meeting, you can share a site plan or photographs, the preferred theme, the approximate number of figures and the target opening date. The cost of building a fairy tale park varies according to the scope of the site, the size of the figures, the level of scene detail and the moving elements.

Examples such as Efteling‘s fairy tale forest show the importance of designing characters together with the space and the story. For a new fairy tale park, we can develop a visitor experience based on the legends, fairy tales and original characters of your own region.

Themed figures for waterparks and aquaparks
Fairy tale characters and original mascots can also become part of the story at waterpark entrances, around children’s areas and at photo spots. We can plan the production of figures and scenes suited to themes such as an undersea world, a pirate island or a tropical jungle according to the park’s layout.
