Commissioned by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, this collection was created to give the high-tech Konya Science Center a sense of history. Bridging science and cultural heritage, the project was completed with great care despite a very tight site, and became a tribute to the monumental architecture of Anatolia.

Focused on Konya’s regional heritage, the exhibition consists of 20 scale models dedicated to Seljuk architecture. Visitors can study every detail of these masterpieces up close; the aim is to show new generations the structural intelligence and artistry of Turkish and Islamic architecture.

A move to Ecdat Park

The space at the Science Center could not give the models the room they deserved. To meet growing public interest, the whole collection was moved to the spacious, landscaped Ecdat Park, where the 1:25 monuments now draw local visitors and tourists alike.

Going far beyond a classic miniature park, Çanakkale Park blends into the restored Hamidiye Bastion as an open-air museum. Dedicated to victory, remembrance and national heroism, it shows how scale models can make complex history clear and moving for visitors of every age.

The whole exhibition area follows the real geography of the Dardanelles. Every monument, warship and battle diorama sits at its historic position on this giant map, so visitors see the campaign from a strategic bird’s-eye view.

Scales range from 1:10 figures that reward a close look to 1:300 naval scenes, bringing monuments and battle details into one story. It closes the gap between reading history and seeing it.
