Miniature Park Landscape Design and Implementation

Miniature park landscaping aims to present building models in an environment that matches their own scale. In park design and implementation, MiniatureArt treats model placement together with planting, miniature ground surfaces, water features and the visitor route. Whether for a historic building, a small townscape or a fairy-tale zone, the character of the surroundings completes the story of the project.

Miniature park landscaping design: plants, ground surfaces and water

The size of the plants, the texture of the ground and the course of the water around a model all affect its perceived scale. Plant selection, growth habit and maintenance access are planned together with the visibility of the buildings. Miniature streets, stone textures, shorelines and terrain elements allow the model group to be read as a whole.

Miniature topographies integrated with landscape, such as Babbacombe Model Village, and architectural heritage routes, such as France Miniature, are different examples of designing buildings and their surroundings together. For a new park, we can develop an original setting that reflects the architecture and geography of your own region.

Model placement and visitor route

Model plinths, viewpoints, walkways, rest areas and technical service access are evaluated within the same layout plan. Irrigation and drainage are planned according to the needs of both the exhibited models and the surrounding plants. In open-air museums, miniature theme parks and fairy tale parks, landscaping is part of production and on-site implementation.

Initial information for a landscape project

A site plan, photographs of the land, the park’s location, the list of models to be exhibited and the target opening date can be shared for an initial assessment. When adding new models to an existing park or renewing its surroundings, the current layout and maintenance conditions are reviewed as well. Discuss your miniature park landscape project with us.
