Fairy Tale and Cartoon Character Sculptures

Cartoon character figure making is one of our core services: MiniatureArt produces fairy tale and cartoon character sculptures, figures and scenic elements for fairy tale parks, municipal parks and themed entertainment areas. Our portfolio includes more than 200 different character designs. We consider each character’s facial expression, posture and costume details together with the story, the production size and the venue where it will be displayed.

You can explore our production approach, in which high-density rigid polyurethane blocks are shaped through robotic milling and handcraftsmanship, in the images and video below. The production scope for outdoor figures, themed photo areas and park scenes is defined for each project.

Cartoon character figure making: how are the sculptures produced?

Production begins with an evaluation of the character’s story and the area where it will be used. In the design phase, the posture, facial expression, proportions and size are defined. The digital model is shaped by robotic milling; facial, costume and surface details are completed by hand.

Materials, supporting structure and surface treatments are chosen according to whether the figure will be used indoors or outdoors, the installation conditions and the maintenance requirements. If a moving or talking character is required, the mechanism and control system are considered at the start of the design.

What information is needed for a character sculpture project?

For an initial assessment, please share the character or theme, the number of figures required, approximate dimensions, whether they will be used indoors or outdoors, and the target delivery date. A layout plan and photographs of the site help us evaluate how the figure relates to its surroundings.

The production cost and schedule are determined by size, level of detail, materials, supporting structure, any movement or sound system and the installation scope. If you are planning a complete park project, you can explore our fairy tale park projects, and for moving figures, our interactive animatronics work. Share your character sculpture project with us.

Character sculptures for waterparks

We can also adapt our figure production to themed entrances of waterparks and aquaparks, the surroundings of children’s areas and photo spots. We can evaluate your need for an original mascot, sea creatures or a fairy-tale-themed scene together with the park’s layout. Explore our figures for waterparks page.
