Impressive Panorama Museums, Dioramas and Themed Architectural Exhibitions
New project: Mimar Sinan Museum, Edirne
Among our panorama museums and dioramas, the newest is the Mimar Sinan Museum in Edirne. We transformed the courtyard and rooms of the Peykler Madrasa, dating from the reign of Mehmed the Conqueror, into a museum presenting the works of Mimar Sinan with models of the Süleymaniye Complex and the Selimiye.
In diorama and museum model production, we bring historic buildings, scenes of everyday life and cultural heritage to life in three dimensions. MiniatureArt plans the concept, design, production and installation stages together for museums and cultural centres.
Panorama museums and dioramas for scale museum exhibitions
A diorama is a three-dimensional scene in which an event or setting is told through figures, structures and environmental details. In panorama projects, a broad visual narrative is handled together with a physical foreground and the exhibition space. Museum models make the form, proportions and relationships of historic monuments and architectural structures visible at a small scale.
In our work for the Mimar Sinan Museum in Edirne, the models of the Süleymaniye Complex and the Selimiye are part of an exhibition layout that tells the story of architectural heritage. You can explore other building examples in our miniature model gallery.
Turnkey Museum Production
360° Panorama Museums and Battlefields: Complete design and turnkey construction of large-scale cylindrical and semi-panoramic halls. We seamlessly blend curved background art with physical foreground topography, life-size mannequins, authentic weapon replicas and weathered landscape textures.
Hyper-Realistic Dioramas and Scale Exhibits: Precision-crafted architectural and historical scenes built at scales between 1:10 and 1:500. They include fine structural details, realistic weathering effects, scaled terrain, micro lighting and automated mechanical movement.
Multi-Sensory Atmospheric Integration: Sub-surface sound engineering, synchronized theatrical lighting schemes, projection mapping integration and automated atmospheric effects (fog, dynamic shadow play and battlefield sound effects).
1:1 Full-Scale Historic Ships and Themed Cafeterias: Engineering and timber construction of authentic, full-scale historic vessels, including Ottoman galleys, pirate galleons and merchant ships. Designed for dual use as walk-through maritime museums or as functional themed cafeterias, restaurants and event decks, they are completed with structural steel sub-frames and fire-retardant timber surfaces.
Turnkey Solutions for Cultural and Commercial Destinations
National Heritage and Military History Museums: Open-plan and domed panoramas that immortalize landmark victories, cultural revolutions and regional archaeology.
Maritime Destination Centres and Ship Restaurants: Monumental timber ship replicas built on land or in shallow lagoons, serving as iconic visitor restaurants and photo spots.
Indoor Edutainment and Science Centres: Multi-level discovery spaces for children and families where scale dioramas meet active timber play structures.
Artefact replicas and excavation site models for archaeology museums
In museums exhibiting archaeological artefacts, explaining which building or living environment a find came from makes the exhibition easier to understand. Ancient city models, excavation site models, restitution models of historic buildings and period scenes can show the relationship between an artefact and its surroundings in three dimensions.
We can plan the production of an exhibition model or artefact replica based on the measurements, photographs, surveys, 3D scans and scientific drawings provided by the museum. In work where missing sections are reconstructed, the documented data and the interpreted parts are defined together with the museum’s experts. Scale and level of detail are chosen according to the exhibition space, the visitor’s viewing distance and the information to be conveyed.
Historical life scenes and museum dioramas
The streets of an ancient settlement, the production process of a workshop or the way a historic building was used can be told through figures, architectural elements and environmental details. Replicas, sectional models and dioramas can be prepared specifically for archaeology museums, city museums, archaeological site visitor centres and temporary exhibitions.
Architectural models, figures, lighting and, where needed, moving narrative elements are handled within the same exhibition scenario. You can share the available scientific data and exhibition plan for your historic monument model, ancient city reconstruction or archaeological exhibition project with us.
Miniature exhibitions like Miniatur Wunderland and Efteling Diorama
The city and railway worlds of Miniatur Wunderland and themed miniature scenes such as Efteling Diorama are different examples of telling the story of an entire environment at a small scale. In a similar indoor exhibition plan, building models, terrain, vehicles, figures and model trains can be combined within a single design. Trains can be produced at 1:25, H0 / 1:87 or another project scale.
You can explore our miniature park and animated model work and our production of moving and talking figures.
Production scope for your museum project
The subject to be told, the available space, the visitor profile and the duration of the exhibition are defined at the outset. Scale models, figures, lighting and interactive elements are chosen according to this narrative. For projects inspired by miniature topographies such as Miniatur Wunderland or Efteling Diorama, we can evaluate together the production scope of original architectural scenes.
