Meram Fairy Tale Park: A Record-Breaking 10,000 m² Themed Wonderland

Serving as one of the most important cultural attractions of Konya‘s famous 80 Binde Devri Alem Park, Meram Fairy Tale Park is a vast and impressive 10,000 m² open-air wonderland. Featuring 160 carefully produced characters from 25 beloved classic fairy tale and animation worlds, this special area was the driving force behind a historic milestone for the park: welcoming more than 1,876,000 visitors in its first two years of operation.

Meram Fairy Tale Characters: 160 Figures and Fully Furnished Houses

  • Complete Narrative Settings: Unlike parks that simply place standalone sculptures on green lawns, our design sets all 160 characters within their own original story contexts.

  • Architectural Fairy Tale Houses with Furnished Interiors: Each fairy tale is brought to life with life-size themed cottages, castles and forest houses. The magic extends to the interiors, where visitors can explore rooms fully furnished with period-appropriate scaled furniture, kitchenware, hearths and intriguing story objects.

  • High Visitor Flow Across 10,000 m²: The spacious park layout is designed for comfortable pedestrian flow, allowing thousands of families and school trips to explore the interactive story areas every day without congestion.

From 7-Axis Robotic Milling to Hand Sculpting

  • Millimetre-Precise 3D CAD Modelling: To guarantee visual authenticity and structural balance, each character’s posture, dynamic anatomy and facial expression were digitally modelled from scratch using advanced CAD software.

  • 7-Axis Robotic Arm Milling: The digital files were transformed directly into physical forms by machining huge, high-density polyurethane blocks with an industrial 7-axis robotic carving arm, achieving zero deviation from the original 3D geometry.

  • Master Sculptor Hand Detailing: After the robotic roughing stage, our master sculptors hand-carved the finest textural details, such as fabric folds, skin textures and strands of hair, using precision hand tools to achieve a flawlessly smooth base for colour application.

  • Artistic Pigment Application: Fine art specialists meticulously brought each figure to life using multi-layer, UV-resistant pigments sealed with industrial clear coats so that they can withstand harsh outdoor conditions without fading.

  • Industrial Steel Anchoring Engineering: Public safety and longevity are built into the foundation of the system. Each character is internally anchored with solid structural steel bars 2 cm (20 mm) thick, embedded directly in the concrete ground foundations, so that it can withstand intense crowd interaction and high wind loads.

Turning Themed Storytelling into Municipal Success

  • A Proven Attraction: Drawing around 1.9 million visitors within 24 months, Meram Fairy Tale Park shows how blending the latest robotic technology with true fine art delivers a unique return on municipal investment.
  • Turnkey Theme Park Delivery: From digital character sculpting and architectural production to on-site concrete foundation anchoring, MiniatureArt provides end-to-end engineering services for iconic children’s parks worldwide.

A visitor route made of fairy tale houses and characters

In the Meram example, the interiors of the fairy tale houses and the characters form scenes that tell the story as a whole. In a new fairy tale park, the stories to be chosen, the number of figures, the dimensions of the sets and the angles from which visitors will see the scenes are planned together.
