Manisa Şehzadeler Fairy Tale Park: Turnkey Master Planning and Theming

The design, master planning, landscape architecture and construction of the “Şehzadeler” Fairy Tale Theme Park, carried out between 2016 and 2017, were undertaken by MiniatureArt with comprehensive turnkey responsibility. Spread over a dedicated 7,000 m² fairy tale area in Manisa, the project brings together 180 skilfully sculpted Manisa fairy tale characters from 32 beloved fairy tale and animation worlds in an intuitively planned landscape setting.

Complete Landscape Architecture and Pedestrian Circulation

  • Holistic In-House Master Planning: Going beyond sculpture production, our team designed the entire spatial layout from scratch. We prepared the master landscape plan and created a comprehensive pedestrian circulation network.

  • Intuitive Path Networks: The walkway layout was strategically structured to eliminate bottlenecks, allowing thousands of visitors, school groups and families to move smoothly between the exhibits every day.

  • Themed Landscape Integration: Green spaces, rest areas and natural barriers were shaped around each story cluster, creating distinct visual zones that isolate each fairy tale universe in its own enchanting setting.

Manisa Fairy Tale Characters: 180 Figures Across 32 Tales

  • Wide Variety of Characters: The 7,000 m² themed area is home to 180 individual characters representing 32 world-famous fairy tale and animation classics, forming one of the richest themed figurative collections in the region.

  • Immersive Story Clusters: Instead of isolated pedestals, the characters are arranged in interactive narrative clusters, encouraging visitors to step straight into the scene for photos and storytelling.

Industrial 7-Axis Robotic Milling and Fine Handcraftsmanship

  • Millimetre-Precise 3D CAD Modelling: Each character’s anatomical posture, the flow of its clothing and the fine details of its face were drawn digitally down to the smallest detail using advanced 3D CAD software.
  • 7-Axis Robotic Arm Carving: The digital geometries were turned into physical reality using our industrial 7-axis robotic arm, which carves huge high-density polyurethane blocks with zero structural deviation.
  • Solid Internal Durability (Unlike Hollow Polyester): Our sculptures are completely solid inside because they are carved directly from massive high-density polyurethane blocks. Unlike traditional fiberglass or polyester figures made only of thin, hollow shells, this rigid internal structure provides exceptional impact resistance. This guarantees that they are incredibly robust, highly resistant to vandalism or physical damage, and able to serve flawlessly for many years in public parks with heavy foot traffic.
  • Master Sculptor Surface Refinement: After robotic cutting, our master sculptors worked the surfaces with precision hand tools to refine facial expressions, fabric folds and surface textures, creating a flawlessly smooth base for the paint workshop.
  • Artistic Pigment Application: Our studio painters brought each polyurethane sculpture to life with vivid, authentic colours and sealed them with UV-resistant coatings designed to resist fading and the wearing effects of the weather.
  • Heavy-Duty 20 mm Steel Anchoring: Durability suitable for public use is built into every structure. Each character contains solid structural steel bars 2 cm (20 mm) thick, fixed directly into deep concrete sub-foundations, ensuring absolute stability against visitor interaction and strong winds.

Fairy tale park master planning for municipalities

At Şehzadeler Fairy Tale Park, bringing many story groups together within a single landscape and circulation plan is an example of holistic design. In a new municipal park, the size of the themed areas, the visitor route, rest points and figure placement are evaluated together before production.

You can explore this process on our theme park planning and fairy tale park construction pages, and figure production options in the fairy tale character sculptures section.
