Handcrafted Miniature Park Models vs LEGO® Brick Miniatures
When people picture a miniature park, many think of the famous Miniland areas at LEGOLAND® parks, built from LEGO® bricks. Those displays are a great experience in their own right. But LEGO® bricks are only one way to create a miniature world. If you are planning a miniature theme park, a museum exhibit or a city showcase, it helps to understand the difference before you choose.
Material: LEGO® Bricks or Sculpted, Cast and Painted Surfaces
LEGO® models are assembled from standard plastic LEGO® bricks. Their charm comes from that recognisable, playful look.
At MiniatureArt, every model is sculpted, CNC-machined, cast and hand-painted. We work in polyurethane, resin and composite materials chosen for each building’s texture: stone, marble, brick, tile, copper domes or carved wood. The result looks like the real landmark, just smaller.
Level of Detail
A LEGO® model is limited by the size of the LEGO® brick: curves, ornaments and fine reliefs are approximated in steps. A handcrafted model has no such limit. Carved capitals, calligraphy panels, ironwork gates, roof tiles and weathering can be reproduced at true scale. That level of detail is what lets visitors recognise a mosque, palace or train station at a glance.
Built for Outdoor Parks
Our models are designed for permanent outdoor display: UV-resistant paints, weather-resistant materials and internal structures made for sun, rain, frost and years of public visits. We also provide maintenance, repair and restoration services, so a park keeps looking new long after opening day.
