Ancient building models and bringing archaeological heritage to life

Ancient building models in the gallery, such as the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and the Temple of Artemis, are examples of how architectural works that have not survived intact can be explained in an exhibition. In museums and archaeological site visitor centres, a building model can show visitors the plan, volume, façade and relationship with its surroundings all at once. For a new archaeological exhibition, we can define the production scope based on scientific drawings, surveys and restitution data.

Ordering a scale model of an architectural work

For a new model, you can share the name of the building, existing drawings or photographs, the target scale, the area where it will be displayed and the delivery date. A separate production plan is prepared for a single historic monument model, a city’s collection of buildings or the model group of an open-air miniature park. Size and level of detail are chosen together with the visitor’s viewing distance and the exhibition area.

In an indoor model railway world, stations, townscapes, vehicles and trains can be designed within the same scale system. We can produce trains at 1:25, H0 / 1:87 or other scales suited to the project. For miniature topography and park projects, we handle building models together with movement and lighting.

Detail, durability and maintenance in miniature models

The quality of a miniature model depends not only on architectural detail but also on production suited to the exhibition conditions. In outdoor and indoor projects, we evaluate material selection, surface treatments and maintenance needs together. Regular inspection and maintenance help preserve the appearance of the models.
