Tilla Kari Madrasa, located between Ulug Bey Madrasa and Cher-Dor Madrasa, was built between 1647-1659.  It was not only used as a social complex for students, but also as a central mosque. Its front façade was two-storey, and it also had a large inner courtyard with students’ bedrooms around it, connected to each other by four galleries. As seen in the picture above, the mosque was located on the west side of the courtyard. The main hall of the mosque was abundantly decorated with gold plating.
