Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV), also known as uncrewed underwater vehicles and underwater drones ,are submersible vehicles that can operate underwater without a human occupant. These vehicles may be divided into two categories: remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROUVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
ROUVs are remotely controlled by a human operator. AUVs are automated and operate independently of direct human input.

Now, we are presenting new class of Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) with ZEUS 3000 which operates long-duration, long-range missions in ocean environments where humans can’t go. ZEUS 3000 can be used for civilian use but also in military purpose.

ZEUS 3000 STRUCTURE

• ZEUS 3000 is characterized by a length of  3.7 meters. Section maximum dimension is designed for compatibility with 21 inches launch tubes.

• Pressure-tight internal boxes and free water circulation optimized external shape by modular structural frame.

• Design is based on a modular approach for enhancing flexibility, mission-driven configurability and customization.

• The platform features compact dimensions for easy transport and deployment. Weight in air depends from the payload suite and power supply arrangements.

ZEUS 3000 when employed from 21 inches launch tubes or compatible equipment is modularly fitted with a small ridge where communication system and mission payload is installed.

ZEUS 3000 when employed from a ship or from ground bases is modularly equipped with a sail which includes communication systems and mission equipment to maintain the real time connection and to provide intelligence and mission data.

ZEUS 3000 – PROPULSION

  • Electric Propulsion with main propeller and thruster.
  • Main propeller provides the thrust for cruise or high-speed navigation, 3 orientable thrusters located in the bow and in the aft section provide the capability to maneuver in narrow areas and to hover.
  • Maximum speed is in the 8-10 knots range and Cruise speed is 4-6
  • The platform is equipped with two bow control surfaces and with a cross configuration stern stabilizer and rudder for best control authority and stabilization to withstand external disturbances.

ZEUS 3000 – ELECTRONICS

  • The platform is equipped with autopilot, GPS/GNSS and Inertial Navigation System to execute mission legs in automatic mode and to reduce the operator’s effort.
  • The UUV is operated with fiber optic wire guidance and connection to the mothership.
  • UUV endurance can be fitted in the 24-72 hours with respect to mission requirements and payload modules.
  • Power supply is granted by rechargeable Lithium based batteries.

ZEUS 3000 – PAYLOAD

  • Passive SONAR Arrays on moving robotic platforms provide acoustic data for Bi- Static and Multi-Static operations.
  • TMA algorithms convergence is accelerated by fusion of all SONAR data coming from the Unmanned Systems.
  • Each robotic platform in the scenario acts like a moving array which contributes to target position evaluation.
  • Passive SONAR operations are executed without impact on system discretion and can be further improved by deployed cooperating active SONAR emissions.
  • Bow frontal Underwater Camera with LED Lights for intelligence collection and navigation safety.
  • Bow Camera with Full HD sensor and 20X optical zoom.

  • Hoistable mast fitted with orientable camera for surveillance over the sea surface.
  • Mast camera is fitted with zoom, swiveling head, LED Lights and explosion-proof casing.
  • System is equipped with RF, SATCOM and GPS for secure and real-time communications in air when surfacing and by towable buoy.
  • RF UHF/VHF Communications Range  exceeds 15 Nautical Miles.
  • UHF SATCOM provide long range and beyond line-of-sight connection.
  • UW modems and USBL for underwater communication.

ZEUS 3000 – PRECURSOR

  • Passive Flank Array capable of detection, tracking and bearing localization of underwater objects.
  • Whenever the object has a far range contact, Z3000 is deployed to get near the contact and provide passive tracks for the object for Bi-Static and Multi-Static operations.
  • Bow frontal Underwater Camera with LED Lights for intelligence collection and navigation safety.
  • 325 kHz CHIRP OAS – Continuous 360° Scan and 300 meters range.
Zeus 3000 can be customized with supplementary sensors and equipment as per the Beneficiary needs.
